Traditional teak has been used as siding or decking material for over a decade.

Many Reasons Why...
Teak has its natural color and fine grain, a very high-quality appearance and an extremely pleasant feel. It is very hard and has an exceptionally high resistance to sun and weathering effects. Unfortunately, despite all the benefits, even after a few months natural Teak turns grey or gets discolored. Depending on climatic conditions, it must be frequently maintained in order to preserve the high-quality appearance and to avoid swelling, splintering and cracking.

Considering the environmental factor, only plantation teak can still be used without any major concerns. Unfortunately, compared to the Old Growth Burmese Teak, Plantation Teak had lost much of its resistance and desired performance charateristics.
The cost of Natural Teak decking depends on the thickness of the material. Of course, the thinner the Natural Teak, the lower the resilience, longevity and overall quality of the project should be expected.
Resysta - The green product
Resysta is an environmentally friendly hybrid material, with the look and feel of wood.
It is made of the raw materials: rice husks, common salt and mineral oil, with properties that make it better resistant to a range of weather conditions than products such as: Tropical wood, Indigenous Lumber and Wood Plastic-Composite. These combined characteristics make this product innovative and also the perfect teak substitute.
